Job Description

As a strategist at Economic Services, you will play a central role in the development of the region's work with patient transport from a long-term and strategic perspective. You will collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders and contribute to effective, quality-assured, and cost-effective solutions that support the overall goals of the Västra Götaland Region.

In this role, you will contribute to consensus among different stakeholders and be a presenter in political matters as well as in board and decision-making processes. You will facilitate dialogue, collaboration, and joint development.

Your main tasks include:

• coordinating and developing governance, monitoring, analysis, and contract management related to patient transport
• contributing to development work regarding organization and processes
• quality assuring contracts and collaboration forms with Västtrafik
• preparing decision-making materials, participating in budget work, and conducting economic analyses
• keeping strategic issues together and contributing to a unified and region-wide development.

The assignment is initially focused on patient transport but can, in the long run, be broadened to a more comprehensive strategic responsibility within Economic Services.

The position is located in the region's administrative offices in Mariestad. Travel is required in the position, and when possible, we prefer to use public transport.

Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you have:

• Relevant higher education for the assignment, or other education combined with experience that the employer assesses as equivalent
• documented experience in business development and change work
• the ability to analyze, structure, and contribute in processes where multiple stakeholders and interests collaborate
• good ability to build and maintain professional collaborations and create consensus among different parties
• strong communication skills, with experience in adapting messages and materials according to the audience and context
• the ability to work independently, take initiative, and make decisions within given frameworks and mandates.

If you have experience working with contracts and contract follow-up, governance, or work in a publicly/politically governed organization, this is an advantage. Experience in investigative work and preparation of decision-making materials, a good understanding of economic processes, and experience working broadly with strategic issues is also advantageous.
